Mr. Sloss reported that, following up a hint that he
had from the Secretary that Unasko had on a preliminary
motion of the sub-committee, beein concerning itself with
books and scientific appliances, he got in touch with them
at their address at Albemarle Street. The sub-committee
consisted of scientists of standing and that J.B. Crowther
was the Secretary. He made out extremely clear and detailed
invoices of basic equipment for laboratories, schools, High
Schools and Universities as a contribution to the difficulties
of the institutions in the devastated areas. Mr. Sloss could
